Ed Miller (Scottish folk musician)

Ed Miller, a native of Edinburgh, Scotland now living in Austin, Texas, is a product of the 1960s folk revival in Scotland. He moved to the United States in 1968 to complete his graduate work in Geography, and later Folklore, at the University of Texas at Austin. In addition to his singing career, Miller is the host of "Across the Water" on Austin's NPR station, KUT-FM. Has 9 CD's available, mostly produced and played on by one of Austin's "journeyman geniuses," Rich Brotherton. Has also worked closely with Brian McNeill, John Taylor, Scooter Muse and Jil Chambless. He is a perennial favorite at such varied events as the Swannanoa Gathering NC, North Texas Irish Festival and Pleasanton Highland Games, CA, as well as a highly sought-after speaker at Robert Burns Suppers. House concerts are his speciality and showcase his great ability to connect with an audience.
Since 2000 he has led folk-music based tours to Scotland every summer. For information see www.songsofscotland.com
